When you're viewing the deails of an item, you'll have the option to see a list of Like Items, and Related Items. Like Items are items that are the same type of item that you're viewing, but could come from a range of manufacturers. Let's take a look at an example.
In this example, we're viewing the item page for a Remington 20 gauge shotgun. Along with information about the various attributes of this item, we have the option to view other similar items to this one. Click the Like Items button to view items similar to this one.
We now have a list of items that are similar to the original Remington shotgun we were viewing. Notice that this list contains items from multiple manufacturers. This gives us a better understanding of what Like Items does. All of these items are simliar, though they come from different manufacturers. Let's compare a few for example.
All three of these items are from different manufacturers, have different barrel lengths and capacities, and also have different stocks and finishes. However, all of these items, as well as the items in the list are 20 gauge shotguns. So in this example, clicking the Like Items button gave us a list of other 20 gauge shotguns. In the next lesson, we'll take a look at the Related Items button, and how it differs from Like Items.
